Just to clarify , LPGMA has nothing to do with Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. It is a sectoral organization that was founded by LPG Marketer’s Association so that they can raise up issues regarding fuel hikes and other connected issues.
In 1998, Congress passed Republic Act No. 8479, now known as the “Downstream Oil Deregulation Act.” The law opened the opportunity for many small and independent refillers and marketers in the LPG sector. The LPG in cylinders sold by these independent players are priced lower compared to the brands sold by the oil majors.
Because there is a great demand of LPG here in the Philippines most of the LPG stores sells in it a higher price. It is not fair in our part as consumers. Since most of us uses LPG gas when we cook everyday then it becomes a burden whenever we ran out of LPG gas. This is a call to whom it may concern.
